"I have an Angle!"

One of the most memorable lines from the orriginal movie, "Heavy Metal." When I found myself fully awake, this morning, I had been hit with an idea for one of my long...

long...

long time projects.

Like the Movie quoted above, it turns out this story might be better a little more broken up than I had orriginally intended. It's a big story with a lot of voices and views to it. I don't think I've given it the space it deserved.

But I have the idea to parcel the story a bit, focus on the different parts of the story and make short stories out of them.

I think I can do it! it's a challenge, but what part of writing isn't?

I love writing. Its very cathartic, it helps me understand what has happened in my life and what's going on around me now. Catharsis is a major part of the Science Fiction stories I've been writing over the years. It may turn out that I do publish my stories, it may happen in a year, two years maybe. But I feel I need to shift my focus just a little bit.

I wrote a lot of my stories when I had a lot going on in my life, sometimes I did have a job, but most times I didn't. Which, of course, gave me a lot of time to contemplate and develop these stories. I'm grateful that I had that time and that I was able to write what I did. I hope to get going again, sometime.

In the meantime, I'm looking at a change. I'm not even considering Clerical work, now- though it was fun when I could do it. My life has changed so much since I left Connecticut and I feel like I have such different, way more positive energy than I've had in an incredibly long time. I've come into some fortune where I'm in touch with a great career counselor who's setting me up for some training to get certified in Customer Service to make getting jobs in Retail much easier for me now.

Honestly, I can't wait! I love working with people! I loved it when I worked at the CT Casinos! Those experiences changed my life. Who knows, I might get writing in a whole other direction! I've been considering Travel Writing for a long time. Seeing how this new, sparkling energy holds up, I could start that around springtime-

if I don't have one of my stories either published or aired by then!

A quick introduction.

Just a quick introduction for y'all! I usually blog on MYSPACE, but I figured I have so many physical journals, a couple of EJourns couldn't hurt. So I'm making this one more about goals more toward a Career nature than what I do on MSPC which is more relationship oriented.

I hope you enjoy reading this- I enjoy writing it! Please feel free to comment on anything! I'd like to know I have an audience!
